ABOUT SALIVA
Saliva came out during the late 90s with their self-titled effort that was released independently in Tennessee. At that time, the band was fresh from releasing their single, “Suffocate,” with the Grammy Showcase competition which they won in 1996. In 2001, Salive released their second effort, Every Six Seconds, spawning the hits “Your Disease” and “Click Click Boom.” The album entered the Billboard 200, landing at a cool number 56. The sophomore work eventually sold over 1 million copies earning Saliva a platinum certification. With subsequent releases, Saliva has busted out iconic rock hits that dominated the charts. “Always” from their third album Back Into Your System. The song went to number 1 on the Top Alternative Rock Songs and entered the Billboard Hot 100. This incredible entry into the mainstream chart would later be achieved by their follow up single, “Rest in Pieces,” which also charted within the Hot 100. Through their career, Saliva has changed labels every so often. They released the most records with major label Island Records, followed by Universal. In 2018 and 2023, the band released 10 Lives and Revelation with Megaforce Records, owned by metal music executive Jon Zazula.
